Gertie's Story

This young lady was found as a stray, wandering the streets of California. Now, at 15 years young, Gertie is ready for a calm and loving home. Despite being in her golden years she still has quite the pep in her step! She takes a minute to show her little piggy personality around new friends but shes good with people and other low-energy dogs & cats. Gertie is looking for a quiet place to enjoy her time left, and make their forever family laugh!

Interested in adopting her? Fill out an application at handoverrover.org

Paw Promise Animal Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
All prospective adopters are required to complete an adoption application or share some details about themselves. Following this, we will arrange a meet & greet between the family and the pet. A mandatory home check will then be conducted. Once the home check is complete, an adoption agreement must be signed. Adoption fees range from $50 to $400 and must be paid when the adoption is finalized. Each adoption includes a 2-week trial period. If things don’t work out, the adoption fee is fully refundable. After the 2-week trial, while we are always happy to take back any of our dogs, the adoption fee will have already been invested in the care of other animals.
