Gerald came to the shelter in very rough shape. He was extremely underweight and weak, and at first could barely stand. With careful feeding and close veterinary care, Gerald slowly regained his strength and healed.<br/><br/>Today, Gerald is fully recovered, healthy, and ready for his forever home. He is crate trained and potty trained. Gerald would love to be the only dog in the home so he can soak up all the love and attention, but he absolutely adores children and enjoys being part of a family. Pitt Friends's Adoption Policy

Thank you for considering adopting from Pitt Friends! The first step in our adoption process is filling out our application, which you can find at pittfriends.com. If your application is approved, the foster family will reach out to you directly to arrange a meet and greet at a mutually agreeable time and place. We do not have a shelter facility. All of our animals live in foster care full time, in the homes of our volunteers. Our adoption fee is $200 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, deworming, and any other medical care that is required prior to adoption. A home check and vet reference are required prior to adoption. Each dog has different needs, so if one particular dog is not the right fit for your home, we may be able to recommend another that is a better match!
