Gerald's Story

Gerald is a 2 year old yellow lab from New Mexico, who came to us as a stray with a broken hind leg. Unfortunately we expect he had had this injury for some time, and it was severe enough and old enough that doctors recommended we amputate his hind leg. Gerald has been doing great on three legs, and he hasn't let it slow him down much. He does zoomies in the yard and sometimes stands on just his two front legs! He is learning to love toys, especially stuffed animals, and loves the couch and playing with his humans. He is good with other dogs but more as a side by side companion than a constant playmate. Gerald has a hard time on hard wood or slippery floors and would appreciate a home with lots of rugs or carpeting.

Gerald is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. His adoption fee is $500.

If interested in adopting, please fill out the application at the following link: https://www.wildwestpetrescue.org/adopt
