Georgie is the kind of dog who makes friends everywhere he goes. Whether he's out at an adoption event charming everyone he meets, riding happily in the car, or romping around with his dog buddies, this handsome boy is always wearing his adorable goofy smile. <br/><br/>He absolutely loves playing with other dogs, enjoys every bit of attention he can get, and is always up for an adventure—or just relaxing by your side. Georgie has such a sweet personality that it's impossible not to fall in love with him.<br/><br/>He's the kind of dog who's simply happy to be included. If you're heading out for a car ride, he's ready. If you're spending the afternoon playing in the yard, he's all in. If it's time to curl up and relax, he'll happily be right there with you.<br/><br/>More than anything, this lovable guy is ready for a family of his very own. A place to call home, people to love, and a couch to claim as his favorite spot. <br/><br/>Could Georgie be the best friend you've been waiting for? <br/><br/>Georgie is a year old and he weighs 53 lbs.<br/><br/>Sadly, Georgie tested positive for heartworms. But please dont let this scare you away! We just need to get him into a home during his treatment. The cost for the heartworm treatment is completely covered. We can provide you with more info about his heartworm treatment if you are interested in adopting or fostering him (wed love to find him a foster home!). Once his treatment plan is completed, Georgie will be able to live a normal healthy life with no restrictions!<br/><br/><br/>ADOPTING A DOG<br/>Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).<br/><br/>If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.<br/><br/>We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend.
