Meet Georgette & Firecracker! <br/><br/>Georgette and Firecracker are a very special pair who are looking for a home where they can continue to grow old together. These two are incredibly sweet, affectionate, and happiest when they’re by your side.<br/><br/>Georgette is an 11-year-old, 7-pound little lady who has chronic degenerative valve disease and bilateral luxating knees. Because of her mobility limitations, she needs a slower-paced lifestyle with limited exercise to help keep her comfortable and prevent further strain on her joints. She receives weekly physical therapy to help maintain her mobility and comfort. Unfortunately, her loss of mobility has also resulted in incontinence, which is expected to be a lifelong part of her care.<br/><br/>Her son, Firecracker, is following closely in his mama’s footsteps. He is beginning to show some of the same mobility concerns, although they are progressing at a slower rate. His future family will need to be prepared to continue monitoring his mobility as he ages.<br/><br/>Despite their physical limitations, these two don’t let much slow them down. They both absolutely love attention, enjoy being gently strolled around, and are wonderful with other dogs. More than anything, they love being together.<br/><br/>Georgette and Firecracker are looking for someone who understands that adopting them means opening their heart and home to two sweet seniors with some extra needs. In return, you’ll get twice the love, twice the companionship, and the incredibly special bond between a mama and her boy.<br/><br/>All potential Forever Fosters must reside within 100 miles of Mt Juliet, TN.
