George (& Georgina)'s Story

What’s better than one German Shepherd?
Two that weigh about the same as one.

Meet George & Georgina, a bonded father–daughter duo of mini GSDs (teacup, if you will). Georgina is a petite 35 lbs and George is a compact 45 lbs, making them a wonderfully balanced pair of playful, affectionate, and calm.

These two walk beautifully together on leash, entertain each other, and naturally help keep one another grounded. They’re actually easier to manage together than a single bouncy GSD pup. Both are great about getting into their crates, follow directions well, and ride nicely in the car. They're also dog friendly, but slow intros and pack walks would be recommended for existing dogs in the home as to not overwhelm the existing dog with not one, but two additions.

George (5) is a fun, mostly mellow, occasionally playful guy who sometimes likes to remind you of his presence by gently putting his mouth around an ankle when he’s feeling extra playful. This behavior is light and friendly, not aggressive, and he responds well to redirection. Because of this, they would do best in a home with dog-savvy children ages 8 and up, so this behavior isn’t misunderstood.

Georgina (3) is sweet and affectionate and is known for gently “cobbing,” affectionately checking your fingers for any hidden treats.

They both enjoy being around people, especially their chosen people, and sticking their heads between legs to look-out. They're very fun to be around and have a really great energy together. They've done well in public settings together, and do fine being separated for outings, but they definitely are strongly bonded and in a really lovely way.

Their adoption includes the option of group training classes, which can be a great resource for supporting a smooth transition, reinforcing good habits, and strengthening the bond between dogs and their people.

Both dogs are very affectionate, people-oriented, and happiest when they’re together. . If you’ve been hoping for the German Shepherd experience or dreaming of a duo, but can't do over 100 lbs combined, George and Georgina may be your perfect pair.
