George's Story

George is an 8-year-old, 12-pound chi/dachshund mix with a sweet personality and a very smart little mind. He figured out the doggie door in just two days and now happily lets himself out to soak up the sunshine whenever the mood strikes. George loves being outside and gets very excited when it’s time for a walk - he’s still working on not wrapping his leash around his human’s legs, but he’s trying!
George is friendly and his tail is almost always wagging. He enjoys meeting new people, especially once he’s had a chance to sniff you first and make sure you meet his standards. He loves other dogs and fits right in with his foster brother and sister, so he would likely enjoy a home with another canine companion.
George has been noted to have some arthritic back issues, but so far his foster mom hasn’t seen any limitations. He runs, plays with his foster brother, walks comfortably, and was even caught jumping off the couch when his foster mom came home.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will love you unconditionally, George might just be your perfect man.
