George's Story

It's George, PARL's gentlest and biggest baby boy!
George has beautiful eyes that show his sweet, sensitive soul. He loves going for his walks, always looking up to make sure his human is right there beside him. He's social and friendly with new people, dogs, and cats. When George isn't out and about making new friends, he's rolling around on the carpet and snuggling on the couch. Even better if his people are taking a lazy day with him and are ready to give him all the belly rubs he needs while he naps his life away. He absolutely loves to eat but is on a special diet to help his skin stay healthy and clear. George is a little deaf, rarely ever barks, is perfectly house trained, and totally non-destructive - he's a total package and it's not hard to see why we're all obsessed with him.

George does have some underlying health issues that cause him to have hair loss and rashes. He is on a hypoallergenic diet in case food allergies play a role in this. He is suspected to have Cushing's disease and has shown some improvement with medication. Adopters should be prepared to continue his medical treatment and help George live the happiest and healthiest golden years possible.

George is in our special medical adoption program which sets adopters up for success with in-depth counseling with our vet. If you are interested in learning more about him, please complete an adopter's profile at parl.org and email clinic@parl.org and cshamgochian@parl.org to learn more and schedule a meet and greet.
