George's Story

George is a handsome 1-year-old Pit Bull with a heart as big as his smile! This sweet boy came to us after being found as a stray. The people who found him tried to locate his owner and eventually surrendered him to our shelter after they were unable to find him a home. During that time, George had sired a litter of puppies, and now it's finally his turn to find a family of his own.

George loves to run, play, and soak up attention. He's an active young dog who would enjoy a family that can keep him busy with walks, playtime, and adventures.

So far, George has shown promising behavior around other animals. He has sniffed our shelter cats and simply walked away without much interest. He's also met a few dogs in controlled, on-leash introductions and has done well. We'll continue introducing him to more dogs as he settles into shelter life, but everything has been very encouraging so far.

George keeps his kennel clean, which is a great sign that he may transition well to house training, and he's already learning good leash manners every day.

George is neutered, current on all of his vaccines, and ready to start the next chapter of his life. He weighs 49 pounds

If you're looking for a fun-loving, affectionate companion who is eager to learn and ready to be someone's best friend, George might just be the perfect match. Come meet him and you'll fall in love with that sweet face in no time!
