George's Story

George is a 6 # male Chihuahua mix, who was found roaming the streets and went unclaimed. He is initially shy but once he gets to recognize the persons around him is very sweet and engaging. He is now fully vetted, i.e. current on vaccines and spayed. George interacts well with other dogs and responds to kind treatment.

YouCanMakeADifference, Inc.'s Adoption Policy

We ask our potential adopters to complete a Pre-adoption questionnaire located at www.adoptapet.com/youcanmakeadifferenceinc/adoption-application. Once we receive the completed application we proceed to call the potential adopter to answer any question they may have as well as to schedule a "meet and greet" in their household. On the day of the meeting, we bring the selected pet to the household. During the visit, we observe the yard as well as we observe the interaction between the pet and the potential adopter. If both the potential adopter and the animal are deemed to be a match we proceed to complete the adoption process. The adoption contract is discussed and signed and payment for adoption is collected. Adopter receives a copy of the adoption contract as well as veterinary record, Rabies and Microchip tags.
