Genevieve's Story
Meet this sweet, soulful girl- Genevieve 💛
At 21⁄2 years old and around 48 lbs, this petite pup is the perfect mix of cuddly companion and playful shadow. Her favorite place to be is right by her person's side--whether that's following you from room to room or curling up close for snuggles. If you're looking for a dog who truly bonds with her human, she's your girl.
She has a big love for chew toys and bones and can happily entertain herself gnawing away. As Genevieve settles into her new home, she may hold her possessions a little more close to her heart as she's excited to finally have a home and things of her own, so bones or high value treats are best to be enjoyed in her kennel. Which will also help her get used to being kenneled as sometimes she'd just prefer to stay close to her new person!
She can get along well with other dogs, especially those with calm, respectful demeanors who won't overwhelm her. A laid-back canine sibling or being your one-and-only would both suit her nicely. She has lived with several males in the past, but prefers the friends that aren't too in her space.
Training-wise, she's making great progress! She's learning basic commands like sit and wait, is working on being comfortable with kenneling, and is mostly potty trained. Like many former strays, she just needs a bit more guidance and routine to fully polish these skills. She's also learning which toys are hers to chew and which things are not--she's eager to please and responds well to gentle redirection. She also loves to go swimming!
This girl has been through a lot, but she's incredibly sweet, resilient, and ready to give her whole heart to the right home. With love, structure, and understanding, she will make a deeply loyal and affectionate companion.
Could you be the safe, forever home she's been waiting for? 🐾

Thank you for choosing SandiPaws Rescue.
