Gene's Story

Gene, aka: Gene-Gene the Dancing Machine, came to our rescue with his mom and siblings. The little family was pulled from City of Tulsa Animal Services when the babies were just tiny little pups. Mom was clearly Dalmatian mix and the puppies were a little bit of both parents. We did a DNA test to confirm that our guess, Dalmatian/Aussie cross, was correct.

The puppies all found homes at eight weeks of age. We do our very best when matching puppies to families, but sadly it doesn't always work. Sweet Gene came back to us recently because the resident dog was reacting badly to his playful nature, and the family was moving away and didn't want to risk being farther away from us if things truly weren't going to work out. The decision was made to bring Gene back into our care so we can find a better match.

Gene is FANTASTIC with other dogs. He loves to play, snuggle, and just hang out. He loves people too. Going out for adventures is one of his favorite things. We recently discovered that he adores baby puppies and he is now the favorite uncle of our foster bottle baby cattle dog pups.

Gene is house trained and crate trained. He is a very moderate size. He is super smart and would be an amazing agility dog or just about any event you want to try. And can we just add how darn handsome the boy is?

Placement in Tulsa, Oklahoma City or surrounding areas preferred. Long distance placements will be considered with exceptional references. Please complete the adoption application (link in our about info).
