Gemma's Story

Meet Gemma, a sweet, cuddly, low-to-medium–energy girl who just wants to love her person.

She can be a little unsure when meeting new people, but she’s made huge progress and warms up beautifully with patience (and a few treats!).

Gemma is good with dogs, great with chickens and cows, and unknown with cats. She needs a home with no small kids at this time. This brave mama came into rescue after being found as a stray just days away from having puppies, and she’s been blossoming ever since.

She’s potty trained, sleeps quietly in her crate, and isn’t much of a barker. She enjoys toys, is learning to share, and is very food motivated—she’ll stretch her little body as tall as she can to try and snag a counter snack. ?

Gemma is also working on her feelings about the vacuum… she currently believes it’s a sworn enemy, but she’s trying her best.

If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who just needs a patient, loving home to keep building her confidence, Gemma might be your girl.
