Before coming to PAR, Gemini had never lived inside a house or even walked on a leash. In less than two weeks with his foster family, he’s already shown just how adaptable and eager to learn he is.

One of the most impressive things about Gemini is how quickly his world has opened up. On his first day in foster care, a walk of just one or two blocks was a big accomplishment. Now, he can happily walk for over an hour through town or along a nearby trail. His foster family describes him as an incredibly quick learner, and every new experience seems to bring out a little more confidence in him.

At home, Gemini is about as low-key as they come. He’s a professional lounger who loves spending time on the back porch in the sunshine, hanging out in the front room, or simply being wherever his people are. He’s affectionate without being demanding and is perfectly content to rest his head on your leg and enjoy your company. He also does a great job entertaining himself when his humans are busy.

Gemini has gotten along well with his foster family’s dog from the very beginning, and we’ve learned that having another dog around is especially important for him in his forever home. He hasn’t lived with cats or children in his foster home, although he has shown little interest in wildlife like birds, chipmunks, lizards, and deer.

Every once in a while, Gemini lets his goofy side peek through, too — like running around the backyard to celebrate when his foster family gets home. But at his core, Gemini is simply a gentle soul who wants a comfortable place to land and people to call his own.

His foster family says he is happiest when he’s hanging out with his people, and because he is so laid-back and gentle, they can picture him fitting beautifully into many different kinds of homes. Their final description says it best: Gemini is “very sweet, loveable, and easygoing” and would make a wonderful companion.
Gemini has already learned so much about what it means to be a beloved house dog. Now he just needs someone to show him what it means to be home for good.

If you’re interested in Gemini, submit an application today!
