Gator's Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Gator! Gator is around 5 month old mixed breed pup with a goofy grin and an even goofier wiggle butt that will melt your heart the moment you walk through the door. He’s smart, social, and absolutely full of life!

This sweet boy does great with other dogs and would thrive in a home with canine companions to play and learn from. He’s very food-motivated and already knows “sit,” is working on “down,” and has started the basics of heel. His long legs are still growing into themselves, which makes his training journey both adorable and entertaining!

Gator is currently teething and, like any young pup, is learning to keep his mouth to himself. He redirects beautifully to a toy and especially loves a good game of tug. Because of this, he’d do best in a home with older kids who understand puppy behavior.

He’s quiet in his kennel, loves squeaky toys, and after some good exercise, he’s more than happy to snuggle up for some quality cuddle time. Gator thrives with structure, playtime, and lots of love—and he’ll greet you every day with the happiest tail wags and that signature wiggle.

If you're looking for a fun, loving pup who’s eager to learn and grow by your side, Gator might just be your perfect match!

Gator's adoption fee is $300 and includes his neuter, microchip, current vaccines and preventatives plus a free basic training course at Cedar Run Company #2 in Hiawatha. Gator is seeking a home as an indoor dog, if you would like to meet him please submit an adoption application through our website, Adopthope.org. Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept any previous pets altered, kept current on vaccines/annual vet visits and as indoor only pets. Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.
