Garrett's Story

Meet Garrett – From Trash to Treasure

Garrett is a 2-month-old Heeler mix with the sweetest soul and the biggest little heart. This tiny guy has already overcome a rough start in life after being found dumped in a dumpster as a young puppy. But Garrett hasn't let that define him—he's turned his story into one of resilience, love, and hope.

Despite his beginnings, Garrett is nothing but joy. His tail is always wagging when he sees his foster family, and he absolutely loves snuggling into warm, safe arms where he feels loved and secure. He's playful, curious, and full of that adorable puppy energy that makes every day brighter.

Garrett may be small, but his heart is huge. He adores people, does wonderfully with kids, gets along great with other dogs, and even tolerates cats like a true little gentleman.

Like any young puppy, Garrett is still learning the ropes. He's currently working on potty training and will need a patient family willing to guide him as he grows.

If you're looking for a sweet, snuggly, and resilient little best friend, Garrett is ready to wag his way straight into your heart.

If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website and complete an adoption application at www.elpasocountycanine.org/adopt

El Paso County Canine Rescue's Adoption Policy
Please bear with us as we process applications! We are working on changing our processes to function during the COVID-19 outbreak. We have had a big increase in people wanting to adopt (yay!) so it's taking us a bit of time to get through the applications. We work on a first-come, first-serve basis. You must apply for adoption before you will be able to meet with a pup. If you meet with a dog and decide to adopt, we can process your adoption right then and you can go home with your new family member! Thank you for adopting from us and saving our sweet dogs!
