Garrett's Story

Meet Garrett - A Gentle Soul Looking for a Patient Heart

Garrett is a quiet, sensitive boy who's looking for a calm and understanding forever home. He can be nervous around new people and situations, so he needs a family that will give him the time and space he needs to feel safe and secure.

Once Garrett starts to trust you, his sweet personality begins to shine through. He enjoys his own space but also appreciates gentle companionship and a calm environment where he can relax at his own pace.

One of Garrett's favorite things is being outside - he loves the fresh air and peaceful moments spent outdoors. Walks, yard time, or just sitting beside you in the breeze are some of his happy places.

After two months in his foster home, this sweet pup is really starting to shine! He loves squeaky toys, hanging with his four-legged foster brothers, and giving kisses on cue (yep, he's that good ).

He knows his sit, touch, and lay cues, sleeps through the night in his crate, and has free roam of the house while his foster family is at work. Only one accident since day one - what a good boy!

His favorite past time? Hanging with his family. He especially likes resting his head on your shoulder while you tell him how wonderful he is.

His favorite foods? Hot dogs, Squeezy cheese, popcorn and his all time favorite is ice cubes

Because he's a sensitive soul, he might do best in a quieter home (no apartments, please) where he can keep building confidence and feel safe.

See how Garrett is doing in his foster home at https://www.instagram.com/tailsofgarrett/

For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you.

Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
