Ganzito's Story

Hi, I’m Ganzito!

I’m a confident, playful 4-month-old Shepherd/Lab mix who started my life being fostered in Mexico with other dogs before making my way to Carlsbad in January. I am currently about 20lbs and estimated to be 40-50lbs fully grown. Now I’m thriving in a busy foster home with another puppy, a 2-year-old Shepherd mix, and four kids! I’m ready to find my very own furever family.

Here’s what makes me such a fun little guy:

-Playtime Pro: I’m extremely playful and love wrestling with my dog friends, chasing toys, and chewing on my favorite chewies.

-Smart & Confident: I’m a bright boy who learns quickly and isn’t afraid to explore the world around me.

-Super Social: I enjoy people and dogs and love being part of the action.

-Cuddle Buddy: After all that play, I’m very cuddly and affectionate, I’m happy to crash next to you and recharge.

-Crate Trained Champ: I’m already crate trained and doing great with structure.

A little more about me:

I’m almost fully potty trained and still new to leash walking, but I’m eager to learn with a little guidance. I have tons of puppy energy and curiosity, paired with mild separation anxiety, I may whimper briefly when you leave, but I settle quickly. I also enjoy car rides and new adventures!

My ideal home?

I’d love an active household with a yard where I can run, play, and then relax in a quiet space when I’m done. Kids and other dogs are totally okay with me, and I’d thrive with a family that enjoys training, playtime, and plenty of love.

My adoption fee is $550, which covers my vaccinations, neuter, and microchip when I’m old enough.
