Gandalf's Story
Grampa Gandalf thinks it's high time he finds his forever family. At 12 years old, this Senior Pitizen is so ready to retire with a family who will spoil him for his golden years. And no dog deserves to be spoiled more than our Gandalf, who spent the first decade of his life terribly neglected.

But now, this sweet senior is looking for a cozy home with a kind human who appreciates the slower side of life. His arthritis makes it tough to climb stairs, but he still loves his afternoon walks. He's mostly deaf, and though his bladder isn't quite as strong as it used to be, he knows how to rock a belly band.

Gandalf loves people and his foster says this sweet boy is as golden as they come. He loves to curl up in tiny places and peacefully sleep most of the day. Gandalf doesn't seek out the company of other dogs, and he was not socialized during time in his previous "home," so he may be happiest as the only dog. But there isn't a human around that Gandalf doesn't want to love.

Thanks to a $1,000 Senior Pet Adoption Grant from Petfinder Foundation, Gandalf's adoption fee and essentials like an orthopedic bed, joint supplements, and first health checkup are already covered. He'll be arriving prepped and pampered to his future home.

He is a special, sweet boy who deserves to live like a king, which to Gandalf means plushy toys, cozy beds, and someone to love. Apply today to bring Gandalf home.

All dogs will be altered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption.
