Severely underweight and incredibly weak, Gambit was rushed to a veterinary hospital where a dedicated team fought to save him. Thanks to their care and his own incredible will to live Gambit pulled through.

And what a comeback he's making.

He's still working toward his ideal weight, but he's gaining strength and filling out more each day. Because of his traumatic past, Gambit has some nerve damage that causes weakness in his back legs. He can be a little wobbly at times, but don't tell him that it certainly doesn't slow him down! He plays with his toys, romps around with other dogs, and approaches life with pure joy. His veterinarian believes that with continued proper nutrition and regular exercise, his hind legs should grow much stronger.

But Gambit's true superpower isn't just his resilience it's his heart.

He is incredibly friendly, super snuggly, and absolutely loves everyone he meets. Kids? He thinks they're fantastic. New people? Future best friends. He thrives on affection and will happily soak up all the cuddles you're willing to give. He hasn't been tested with cats yet.

After everything he's endured, Gambit greets the world with trust, love, and a wagging tail. He doesn't dwell on his past he's too busy enjoying his second chance.

Gambit is looking for a family who will continue to help him grow stronger, shower him with love, and remind him every day that he's safe and home for good.

If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, resilient best friend with an inspiring spirit and endless cuddles to give, Gambit is ready to meet you.

If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our application.
