Galaxy will stretch out against you, fall asleep, and start snoring like she is having the best dream anyone has ever had.<br/><br/>Galaxy is a 3 to 5 year old female pit mix weighing roughly 40 pounds. She has a merle coat, a cream and pale grey base scattered with charcoal patches and speckles, with soft folded ears, warm amber eyes, and a wide grey nose. She came to us as a stray in August. She is spayed, house trained, and crate trained, and she is living in a foster home now.<br/><br/>She is also very smart, and she likes having something to figure out. Her dinner comes in puzzle feeders most nights and she works through every one of them quickly. She walks well on a leash without pulling or lunging, and she hops into the car on her own and rides happily. Outside she is curious about everything. She enjoys a kiddie pool in the yard and she is in it every chance she gets, and the river turned out to be even better than the pool.<br/><br/>She crates well when her foster leaves for work, with a snuffle ball that keeps her busy for close to half an hour before she naps until someone comes home. <br/><br/>A few honest things before you apply. Galaxy has a big personality and a lot of playful energy, and she wants to be part of whatever is happening. She settles quickly, but she can get excited enough to knock into someone, so we are looking for a home with older children rather than little ones, and no one in the house who is unsteady on their feet. She has a habit of eating sticks, pinecones, and any other vegetation she can reach, so she needs someone keeping an eye on her outdoors. She has not lived with cats, so we cannot tell you how she would do with one.<br/><br/>Galaxy is living in a foster home, so visits with her are set up by appointment.
