If you’ve got even an inch of extra space on your couch (or your lap!), she’ll happily claim it and drift off into the sweetest little snoozes. <br/><br/>This precious sweetheart is a 5-star certified cuddler and a lover of all things cozy — soft dog beds, warm blankets, and being tucked right by your side. She’s also a perfect angel in her kennel and walks beautifully on leash, making her the easiest companion to bring anywhere. She's good with other dogs. <br/><br/>Gaela has so much love to give… she’s just waiting for the perfect person to give it to. Could it be you? <br/><br/>Gaela is a 1 year old Pit Bull mix. <br/><br/><br/>ADOPTING A PET<br/>We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.<br/><br/>If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.<br/><br/>Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).<br/><br/>FOSTERING<br/>Can't commit to adoption but still want to help us save lives? Consider fostering by filling out our foster application at https://www.kckpd.org/Animal-Services/Foster-a-Pet. All supplies are provided.
