Gaela is the kind of girl who melts right into you the second you sit down — a 5-star certified cuddler and a lover of all things cozy. Soft dog beds, warm blankets, and being tucked right by your side are her happy place. If you’ve got even an inch of extra space on your couch (or your lap!), she’ll happily claim it and drift off into the sweetest little snoozes. <br/><br/>This precious sweetheart is also great in her kennel and walks beautifully on leash, making her an easy companion to take anywhere.<br/><br/>Gaela was in a temporary foster home and she did great. She’s been wonderful with both female dogs and cats, fitting in with everyone around her. Gaela’s favorite thing? Playing with everyone! Dogs, cats — she doesn’t discriminate when it comes to fun. <br/><br/>She’s working on potty training and is a quick learner — this smart girl catches on fast and is always eager to please.<br/><br/>She has so much love to give… she’s just waiting for the perfect person to give it to. Could it be you? <br/><br/>Galea is a 1 year old Pit Bull mix. <br/><br/><br/>ADOPTING A PET<br/>We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.<br/><br/>If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.<br/><br/>Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).<br/><br/>FOSTERING<br/>Can't commit to adoption but still want to help us save lives?
