Gabe's Story
Meet Gabe, aka Gabey Babey, Gabriel Babriel, Mr. Gabriel...you get the idea!

Gabe is one of the most fun, sweet, silly, and kind hearted dogs ever to grace our presence! He is a big boy who is filled to the brim with love, and a big head full of nothing but sweetness and dreams! Gabe is a total ham who approaches life full force--he plays hard, loves hard, sleeps hard! Despite his size, he has shown that he can be really gentle with older kids. He is currently in our Superstar Pup Academy learning some basic skills that will help him succeed when his forever home finally comes for him!

Weight: 70 lbs

Spayed/Neutered: Yes!

Up to date on vaccines: Yes!

Microchipped: Yes!

Housebroken: Unknown, but potentially!

Crate-trained: Unknown

Leash behavior: Working on it! They are still learning what the leash is all about and may have some behaviors that will require continued positive reinforcement training.

Dog sociability: Possibly! He's had fun with other dogs with similar energy!

Cat sociability: They do not do well with cats! They will chase, bite, attack, or otherwise harm or frighten cats.

Kid sociability: Good with older kids! They are a little too much for small kids or have a history of behaviors that are difficult to manage around smaller children, but they are fine with kids ages 13-18. He may be good with younger children, but due to his size, he likely would be best with older children.

Likes: Everything and everyone, the concept of love and affection, stuffies, playing tug, saying "awooo!"

Dislikes: Party poopers!

Gabe currently has a stifle injury/possible CCL tear. He may need surgery to correct this injury. Right now, we are looking to get him in to see a specialist to assess his leg and to go over treatment options. If you would like to learn more about his current health status, please feel free to reach out!

If you'd like to meet Gabe, please fill out an adoption application at animalcareleague.org/adoptions and send us an email at adoption@animalcareleague.org!
