Furie - Missouri MR26-307's Story

Meet Furie - A Loyal Heart Ready for Her Next Chapter

Furie is a nearly nine-year-old German Shepherd (62 lbs) with a strong spirit, a playful heart, and so much love to give. This beautiful girl came to Dogsville as part of a Roadside Rescue after spending her life in a home, and she's ready to find that sense of belonging once again.

Furie is housebroken and walks beautifully on a leash, making her an easy and enjoyable companion for daily adventures. Don't let her age fool you-this girl still has plenty of energy and absolutely lights up when it's time to play fetch. A tennis ball is her favorite thing in the world, and she would happily spend her days chasing it, then heading out for walks, runs, or hikes by your side.

She is deeply devoted to her people and forms strong, loving bonds. Furie is the kind of dog who will stay close, watch over you, and offer unwavering loyalty through every season of life. She thrives on human connection and is happiest when she knows she belongs.

Furie needs to be the only dog in the home. She is not comfortable around other dogs and will do best in an environment where she doesn't have to share her space or her people. She is also unlikely to be a good fit for a home with cats. What she truly needs is a calm, understanding home where she can feel secure and be loved for exactly who she is.

There is something incredibly special about a senior dog who still has so much life, love, and joy to share. Furie is ready to give her whole heart to someone again-she's just waiting for that person to find her.

Available for adoption at our Dogsville location in Humansville, MO
Apply to adopt at www.nmdr.org (select Missouri)
------
Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!
