Funzie's Story

We rescued Funzie from a central valley animal shelter in May, 2021. He's about 2 years old, and he's usually a very even-tempered dog but he will need someone energetic and experienced. He shares a kennel with a hyper female Dobie and never challenges her. Funzie is about 2 years old and average size for a male, with a long tail that is wagging whenever he greets us. He was adopted briefly but returned because despite being good with all other dogs we have introduced him to, he couldn't get along with the female dog in the home. Any potential adopters must bring along any current dogs for introductions. The previous adopter also reported that he was "mouthy" so we want to see him with someone that can handle his physical and training needs.

Please fill out an adoption application and email it to us at dobierescue@earthlink.net You can then make an appointment to meet the dogs that match what you're looking for if we have any appropriate candidates. Male Dobermans are a $300 donation and currently females are $350. Unfortunately we are having a really hard time getting spay appointments and we have to pay more for their surgeries so we have to ask a higher donation to make ends meet. All dogs go home spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and with a collar/ID tag.
