Ft. Benning's Story
Why Choose Me?

Fort Benning and Camp Lejeune are siblings and best friends. When I stopped at Camp's gate, he wasn't ready to leave his kennel, so I visited with Benning. She came out to meet me and with a few pets, was ready to go outside. I took her to the interaction pen across from Camp's kennel, and as soon as he saw Benning, he wanted to join us. They were so happy to be together that both forgot about any worries and even started coming to me. Camp was drawn to treats, and Benning wanted to be loved on. It wasn't long before Camp also wanted pets. Being together helped build their confidence. Both are adorable and sweet and would probably do well with another friendly, confident dog in a home. Of course, if you're looking for two dogs who already get along and love each other, adopting both would work!
You can read more about this dog and check out additional photos here: https://www.accgov.com/9482/Dogs

The adoption fees, shelter schedule, a description of the rescue and adoption process, and a list of included vetting can be found at https://athenspets.net/adoption-rescue-process.

This dog is available for adoption through Athens-Clarke County Animal Services, located at 125 Buddy Christian Way, Athens, GA.
