Fritz's Story

Meet Fritz 🐾

Fritz is a young, energetic American Bully mix, estimated to be around 2 years old, with a big personality and an even bigger love for life. He is incredibly playful and toy-motivated — tug, fetch, chew toys… you name it, Fritz is all in. He already knows how to drop it and is a joy to engage with during playtime.

Fritz’s ideal day would look something like this: a little romp around a field or yard, time spent playing with his toys, followed by relaxing on his dog bed chewing a bone near his human. He’d finish the day with an evening walk and plenty of couch cuddles. While Fritz is a higher-energy dog, he also settles nicely and enjoys downtime with his people.

Fritz does have a luxating (floating) patella in both knees, which limits high-impact or excessive exercise. Because of this, he’s not a dog who needs constant running or intense activity. He’s been receiving almost daily physical therapy with his amazing foster mom, Jenni, and has made great progress in both strength and comfort. He’s also been evaluated by a physical therapist, who confirmed that his condition can be successfully managed with continued physical therapy and targeted muscle strengthening, allowing him to remain functional and comfortable in daily life.

Despite his orthopedic needs, Fritz is still a fun, happy dog who loves to engage with the world — he just needs smart, controlled exercise rather than nonstop activity.

Fritz is currently with a new foster, Logan. Logan is working on teaching him nice leash manners, bed command, and recall.

We ensure they have appropriate space etc. We then have adoptions pending on sleepover or trial period going well with the adopter to ensure its a good fit and nobody is rushed or pressured.
