Frida's Story

Frida is a very sweet 2-1/2-year-old girl. She is loyal, incredibly intelligent and affectionate. She would be a wonderful companion in the right loving home. Frida's breeds include mostly German Shepherd, with some Dutch Shepherd and Tervuren. Frida is athletic and is a match for any active person or family who like to play, take her for walks and give her exercise to work off her high energy. She is fast and would excel at agility training. She also loves snuffling and could potentially be trained for scent work. Frida will do best in a family with adults, no small children, no small animals, and a fenced-in yard with direct access from the house.

Frida is over the moon when she is reunited with you, even if you haven't been away long. Frida is always in an enthusiastic mood and loves attention. She'll hang out with you on the couch, too, if that's what you want to do. Frida likes to be with people and loves to ride in the car, too. She has no resource guarding issues with people, and no aggression.

Frida is a good watchdog and will bark when she hears noises.

Frida has had some obedience training and is house and crate trained. She knows many commands: Sit, Down (lay down), Stay, Look, Leave it, Drop it, Wait, Off, Run, Watch me, Touch, Come, Bedtime, and more! She will need additional force-free, fear-free training and patience from her new family. Playing, treats, and gentle handling are the keys to training Frida.

Frida is a large dog at 72 lbs. She loves other dogs and could be happy with another similarly sized, young and playful dog.

Frida's approximate birth date is September 1, 2022.
