Freyja's Story
Can't decide between a Shepherd or a Cattle dog? Meet Freyja, a Cattle dog in a petite Shepherd suit. The perfect combo of loyal and smart from both breeds. Freyja came to us as a mama of 9 babies. She was a calm, patient and affectionate mama. She is about 50 lbs now that she has filled out after fully weaning her babies. She has put on muscle and is really a beauty. She is an affectionate dog who is very brave and she's always curious about what's going on around her. She is a good watch dog but will listen to correction. She will need someone who can continue to guide her into the fabulous dog she is becoming. She looks up to her person for direction. She can also be a total goofball who loves to make her humans laugh. She loves to play with toys, and she's an expert at giving her paw. When first in her foster home Freya had prey drive interest in cats and wanted to chase. With strict supervision she is learning to be more trustworthy around cats. If you're ready for a new best friend who loves to cuddle after burning off some energy, then Freyja is the pup for you! Freyja is being fostered in Hollister. Please reach out to schedule a time to meet Freyja or to see when she will be attending a Saturday adoption event at PetSmart Almaden Expressway in San Jose.
