Freyja's Story

How to describe me...let's see - a little bit of mystery, a ton of love, just the right amount of energy, add a dash of reassurance every now and then in new situations for me, and mix it all into the sweetest little auburn-haired girl you've ever met...yep, that sounds like me! I have great social skills once I have had a chance to meet you properly and play with my foster greyhound family and the occasional guest that come visit too - my favorite so far has been my Bernese Mountain Dog boyfriend Juneau...he's just so dreamy. Oh, I also love - well L-O-V-E, love! As in if you are giving pets out to someone else....it might as well be me next, and my foster dad is trying to teach me something he calls "manners", telling me to wait my turn, but come on....have you seen this face?! I will wait though if guided to and share everything well, my bed, toys, no selfishness over here so I will get along great with any other kids (2 or 4 legged) you have. I walk beautifully on a leash and will stand to give you kisses if you let me, but also know what sit and stay mean...."down", well I am working on that one but again - have you seen this face and would you believe it's even cuter up close?! I haven't really shown any fear towards anything yet like vacuum cleaners or loud noises, but I must admit I did not like the loud riding lawn-mower my foster dad used to mulch leaves with, but as long as it stayed away from me and I could see it from a distance, I was ok, no bolting from, howling at, or attacking the loud beastie required. If you wanted to, I would absolutely let you spoil me 100%, but I also am quite capable and independent. Just tell me how you want me to fill your life and I promise I can make it better. Hope to meet you soon -

Love,

Freyja

P.S. You'll notice I never talked about me
not having all 4 of my legs - that's because
it is such a non-issue for me, I forget most
of the time. Honestly, if you guide me through
a new floor surface or stairs the first time, I will
do just fine afterwards on my own. "You must be a
superhero", my foster dad says sometimes, but
I think I'm just too much love to be held back by
one less limb!
