Freya Rose's Story

LOCATION: Newburgh, IN
DOB: 10/17/2023

Meet Freya Rose, a Great Dane-Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. She is 1.5 years old, spayed, and ready for a forever home.

Freya is a loyal companion—she’s affectionate, intuitive, and completely devoted. She is VERY smart and loves to sing her songs. Freya is both crate trained and house trained, and she warms up quickly to new people, especially if treats are involved. Her recall is impressive, and she enjoys a bit of early morning freedom to roam the yard, always returning when called. Walks are part of her routine, though leash manners are still a work in progress—she can be a bit headstrong.

She’s got a nose for adventure and a clear hound instinct, constantly sniffing out the trails of critters that have passed through. Because of this, and her prey drive, she’ll need a home where there are no cats, no small dogs, and no small animals.

As far as large dogs - she’s met them and has done well. When she goes to boarding she is allowed to play with two low key derpy danes. Slow introductions are needed.

She loves being close to her people. Her favorite spot is beside you or on her dog bed in front of the fireplace. She seems to enjoy the snow too. Perhaps she’s meant to be a northern state gal! She would enjoy a big human family with kids included.
