Freya's Story
Freya is a human loving female, 2 year old, 70 lb German Shepard/Lab/Cattle Dog mix. She is unfortunately needing to be rehomed due to aggression issues with other animals (dogs and cats) in the home. Due to this she needs a home where she is the only animal in the home. She is fixed and up to date on all vaccinations. She is currently on a daily anti-anxiety medication through her vet, but will take the medication no problem with dinner if it’s in a soft pill pocket.
She knows basic commands (sit, stay/wait, lay down, “Crate” to go to her crate) as well as other unique commands like “I can’t reach it” (to bring a toy/ball closer while playing) and “take a break” (relax). Freya is fully crate trained and her crate is her safe space and she loves it! She is used to being in her crate during regular work hours as well as at night for bedtime. She is only being placed in the crate at night time due to her aggression issues with other animals in the home. She loves to cuddle and spread out in a bed and would happily do so in a new home. Her current owners would be willing to donate her current crate to her new owners if they would like it.
She really enjoys walks, but due to her dog reactivity she is used to walking on off hours when other dogs are less likely to be out. She has been around children on occasion, but due to her size no small children are preferred as she doesn’t understand that she is heavy. A fenced yard, preferably tall wooden, is needed as she can jump over a short fence.
Freya has a very goofy personality and will fill your home with laughter. She is very sweet with humans and is always ready for a cuddle and a kiss especially when she’s tired. She will play fetch for as long as you throw the ball (hence why “take a break” was taught) and will spend the whole day outside with you enjoying the summer sunshine. She loves water and her kiddy pool she will splash in on hot days. She absolutely loves being around people and is happy to be in any room you are. Freya is a very special dog that her family is heartbroken to rehome, but for everyone's safety and happiness it has become necessary

She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and preventatives and is heartworm negative.

Her adoption fee is $300. Please fill out an application or email us at char@adoptgoodkarma.com if you are interested in meeting her.
