Freya. ADOPTED's Story

Name: Freya
Breed: Poodle
Age: 4 years
Weight: 16 pounds
Vetting: Will be up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and spayed.

Hi, my name is Freya, and I want to be your new best friend! I have one blue and one brown eye. Isn’t that cool? I’m a sweet and affectionate girl who wants to love you and be by your side. I was rescued from a puppy mill, so I’m still learning to trust people. Since I spent most of my life locked in a cage, I really don’t want to be in a crate. I’m fine in the crate while traveling in a car, but I really want to be free to roam the house, so I can follow you around. I’m working hard on my potty training, and I have very few accidents, as long as someone takes me outside regularly. I’m okay with wearing a collar and harness, and going for walks, but I would love to be able to run around a fenced-in yard. At night, I’m happy to sleep on a dog bed next to my foster mom’s bed. I get along with other dogs, but I would be more than glad to be your only friend! Older kids in the house are okay, as long as they understand that they need to go slow around me. My ideal home would be with someone who’s patient and home for most of the day and can give me lots of attention and affection. I tend to feel more comfortable around women, but I could probably learn to trust a man in time. Will you give me a chance at a great life? I promise I will love you forever.

Freya is fostered in Chicago, Illinois. Her adoption fee is $350, which includes all vaccines, deworming, microchipping, and the spay surgery. Her foster mom, Bettina, can be reached via email at bejolese@gmail.com.
