Meet Freya! This gorgeous gal was supposedly found as a stray at the Big Pine Key dog park. However; Freya had a microchip! We reached out to the microchip company, got the registered owners info and then.... nothing. They didn't answer our calls, or respond to the certified letter we sent in the mail. So, after a very long wait, we've closed the chapter on Freya's past life and now it's time to find her a new home! <br/><br/>Freya is a 5 year old large mixed breed dog weighing in at nearly 80 pounds! Despite her size Freya is a sweet, gentle dog with a wonderful easy-going demeanor. She is a perfect walker, always at an easy going pace and never pulling on the lead. She doesn't seem to mind the cats and has already made friends with another shelter dog, Hendrix! As a staff and volunteer favorite we hope it won't take long for her to find the forever home she deserves! You can meet Freya at our Marathon Campus today!
