Meet Freya!<br/>Freya came into the shelter September 16th found running loose in the city limits of Alpine. We could not believe that she was never reclaimed, she has been fabulous!<br/>She has tested positive for heartworms and has started treatments. Her adoption availability date is pending until she has gone through treatment but, we are more than happy to introduce her to potential adopters to get the ball rolling.<br/>Freya has not been in play groups with other dogs yet, but she does really well walking by the other dogs and will approach a neighboring kennel calmly to say hello. She has been very friendly with every person she has met so far and has done really well walking on a leash. We also believe she is potty trained; she keeps her kennel clean and will wait for her turn in the yard for her potty break. We have also found she knows sit and how to give you her paw. <br/>Our staff says that their favorite things about Freya is that she is gentle, sweet, smart, treat motivated, very understanding and a good listener.
