FREYA's Story
Freya is a 3-month-old rescue puppy with the most beautiful honey-colored coat and an irresistibly sweet personality to match. Weighing in at just 10 lbs, she’s the perfect little bundle of energy, curiosity, and affection.

Freya absolutely adores people—especially kids—and she gets along well with other dogs. That said, she’s still learning how to read social cues, so she’ll do best with a patient and tolerant canine companion who can gently guide her as she figures things out. Her playful enthusiasm sometimes means she doesn’t realize when her senior foster sister is ready for a break!
She’s making steady progress with her potty training, though she’s still a work in progress. Freya is also getting used to spending short periods in her crate during the day. She may protest a little at first, but she settles down nicely. At night, she sleeps peacefully on a dog bed beside her foster mom, which she finds very comforting.

Freya can be a bit of a sensitive girl. New experiences—like walks on a leash—can feel a little overwhelming right now, and if she’s startled from a deep sleep, she might give a small growl. But it’s short-lived—once she realizes she’s safe, her tail starts wagging again and her sweet nature shines through.
This clever pup has a playful streak and a mischievous love for stealing shoes! Luckily, she’s very happy to trade them for one of her chew toys. She also loves chasing balls, playing tug-of-war, and running in joyful circles during games of tag with the kids.

Freya would thrive in a home committed to continuing her training and confidence-building. Puppy classes will be especially important—not only to help her grow into a well-rounded, confident dog, but also to strengthen the bond with her new family.

With a little patience, love, and guidance, Freya is sure to blossom into an incredible lifelong companion.

Freya is being fostered in Mississauga.

•••••••••

As my foster family gets to know me my profile can change and will be updated accordingly.
