Freedom (Theo)'s Story
Why choose me?
This adorable little goofy short-stack is a bumbling ball of sunshine!! Theo, also known as Freedom, loves anyone and everyone he meets. He's house-trained, crate-trained, and sits well for treats. Theo has actually done well with both cats and dogs while I fostered him. I think he just doesn't understand boundaries and personal space very well (he has none of his own), and some dogs don't take it very well. At events and at home he has done well taking treats and watching other dogs eat and take treats right next to him, and he didn't even mind when my cats would steal food right from under his nose. Theo travels super well on even 1+ hour long car rides (he just snoozes comfortably). He loves to cuddle hard and play hard, even tossing and flinging toys into the air to entertain himself. This super snuggly love bug would absolutely brighten up any household!

Theo (aka Freedom) is back at the shelter and as playful as ever. He loved chasing toys and taking them back to the shade to enjoy. He'd also sit for treats and was always ready for pets. A former owner said he's a good dog but is protective of his food, so with two other dogs, things weren't working out. He's crate trained and good with cats but needs a home where he's the only dog or can be fed separately from other dogs in the home. Theo is a happy, handsome low-riding fellow who's a good boy and a lot of fun! He just needs a home that's the right match for him.

You can read more about this dog and check out additional photos here: https://www.accgov.com/9482/Dogs

The adoption fees, shelter schedule, a description of the rescue and adoption process, and a list of included vetting can be found at https://athenspets.net/adoption-rescue-process.

This dog is available for adoption through Athens-Clarke County Animal Services, located at 125 Buddy Christian Way, Athens, GA.
