FREDERIC's Story
Meet Frédéric — To the Manor Born

From the moment you meet Frédéric (Fred), it’s clear he’s no ordinary pup. With his sleek silver coat and soulful eyes, this young Weimaraner carries himself with quiet confidence, as though he truly was to the manor born. At just five months old, he already embodies the grace, intelligence, and poise his breed is known for.
In his foster home, Fred follows his older foster brother with endearing devotion: watching, learning, and taking cues from his seasoned mentor. When his brother rests, Fred settles close by; when playtime begins, he’s ready in an instant. He’s proving himself to be a quick study and a loyal companion in the making.

Though calm and composed inside, Fred’s heart belongs to the great outdoors. He loves to run and stretch his legs. He would thrive with an active family, a securely fenced yard, and ideally another medium-to-large dog to share his adventures.

Like all Weimaraners, Fred is bright, affectionate, and eager to please, but he’ll need consistency, patience, and positive guidance to help that sharp young mind flourish. A Weimaraner requires plenty of physical exercise and mental stimulation. Their intelligence is both a gift and a responsibility; without engagement and companionship, they can become restless or anxious.

Fred will do best in a home where he’s part of the family’s daily rhythm. A true companion, not left to his own devices for long stretches of time. His is a friendly, fearless, and loyal breed, and with the right family, Fred will no doubt grow into the noble, devoted dog he’s meant to be.

Fred is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and will be neutered through Gerdy’s Rescue. At 42 pounds, he’s still growing into his big, graceful frame. A frame that might reach at least 75 lbs. so we recommend children 10+.

A secure fenced yard (if a pool, secured separately) will be a great asset to practice agility and play fetch. Due to his breed's strong prey drive, no cats or other small animals.

If you are interested in FRED please apply at:
NO DIRECT MESSAGE INQUIRIES PLEASE
Please note we only adopt to Montreal and nearby surrounding areas.
