Freddy's Story

Hi! I’m Freddy — your future adventure buddy 🤍

First things first: yes, I do make the funniest faces… and my goofy expressions are truly to die for. I’m a young, playful pup at heart; a 3 year old, 50 lb Husky full of curiosity, sweetness, and heart melting head tilts.

For a long time, I waited in a shelter.
Day after day. Watching. Hoping.
Treats were my bright spots. When someone offered one, my whole world lit up and I could imagine, just for a moment, what it might feel like to belong.

After months of waiting, I was finally rescued by the wonderful folks at PawesomeBaby Rescue! Now I’m in a loving foster home, showing everyone what a good boy I truly am.

I love to play - with humans, with other young and playful dogs, and with anyone who’s ready to have a little fun. I have a goofy personality, a joyful spirit, and I bring smiles wherever I go. Playtime, cuddle time, and shared adventures are my favorite things.
I also have an overbite jaw that makes me only even more cuter!

I’m potty trained at my foster homes, and gentle and kind with people, kids, and other dogs. I have lived peacefully with a husky foster sister and taken her corrections like a polite gentleman. No guarding, no aggression — just love and curious learning. I also did great around the little humans in my foster homes.

I do have a true Husky heart though, and I’d thrive with a family who loves the outdoors. Walks are my favorite! I’m curious, alert, and love exploring the world one sniff at a time. Adventures, hikes, neighborhood strolls, beach walks, I’m ready for all of it, right by your side.

I can be your one-and-only adventure buddy or share my life with a friendly young fur sibling. Either way, I love having companionship and being part of the action — not left alone :)

This holiday season, I’m wishing for more than toys or treats. I’m wishing for a forever family; one that laughs at my silly expressions, plays with me, takes me on adventures, and loves me just as I am.

If you’re looking for a sweet, playful soul with a goofy adventurous spirit…
I’m ready to come home. 🤍
Please contact my rescue family PawesomeBaby ✨🐾

Checkout @PawesomeBaby instagram for more pics and videos.
—————————————————————————-
About Freddy:
—————————————————————————-

• Age: approx 3-4 yr
• Weighs 45-50 lb
• Neutered, up to date on vaccines (Rabies, DHPP, Lepto, Bordetella), dewormed.
• He has a cute little overbite.
• Potty trained at foster home.
• People friendly - He is friendly and playful with humans, big and small. Please read below if you have children at home.
• Dog friendly - He is friendly with playful, friendly dogs big and small. Not tested with cats.

You will be adopting a dog who got the care listed below -

• Spay/neuter
• Rabies, DHPP, Lepto, Bordetella vaccines
• Negative fecal test or dewormed
• Wellness checkup, Heartworm, blood tests
• Microchip registration with AKC reunited
• Lots of tender loving care at amazing foster home!

We are looking for adopters in Washington state or BC Canada. We may consider neighboring states too, if it’s a perfect match for him and you are willing to drive or transport.
Please contact to schedule a meetup!

His adoption fee is USD 400 (CAD 500). We charge an adoption fee for our precious dogs, to make sure they go to a good home who can afford caring for them as a family member. Dog ownership is a lifetime commitment of over 10-15 yrs.

Training:
—————-
Like a typical husky, he doesn’t enjoy being alone. He can get bored and get mischievous. But he has been good if he has his humans or fur siblings around.

He is getting some formal training for sleeping in a crate and leash walking at his current foster who’s a professional trainer.

Training Resources:
—————————————

Regardless of who you adopt, we recommend training your pup regularly, to build an everlasting bond with your pup and help them continue to be an amazing canine citizen.

We can provide a list of reputable trainers who use positive reinforcement methods to help you establish a training protocol with your newly adopted furbaby.

—————————————————————————-
[IMPORTANT]
—————————————————————————-
Below listed requirements are for any dogs we adopt out, meant for everyone’s safety.

• If you have other dogs, then you must also be knowledgeable and have good hands on experience with running a multi-dog home to be able to adopt a dog from us. What’s expected of the adopter is just keeping basic house rules like (1) keep the dogs apart when feeding, monitor & put away left over food, (2) help them build mutual trust before leaving alone with treats, toys around (3) keep dogs out of kitchen when handling food etc

• As with any dog, earn their trust around food handling. This is an essential training for every dog, so they learn to trust their new human. It takes only a couple of practice sessions around meal time with most dogs with no history of food guarding. Teaching to sit, then hand-feeding food & high value treats is one of the best ways to earn trust.

• If you have children at home, they should be at least 8+ yrs, and know to safely & respectfully interact with dogs, to be considered for adoption. We think families with younger children will likely not have the time needed to exercise and nourish a new dog. And the time needed to train little kids to safely interact with dogs, read their body language & respect their personal space. Most dogs do not enjoy little ones clinging to them, pulling their fur, crawling or lying on them. We do not want to risk the safety of neither your child nor our dog. Follow @dogmeets_baby trainer on Instagram to learn more on this topic :-)
Of course, we understand there are exceptions and some parents are on top with this. Please contact us if you are one of those exceptional parents :)

• We discourage the use of choke, pinch, prong collars on our dogs. Training to walk on a well fitted no-pull harness is encouraged. All our dogs come with a “no-pull” harness.
If needed, you can use humane collars like regular buckle collars, martingale collars or ‘gentle leader’.

For adoption process details, check out PawesomeBaby.com and send us a message here.
Thank you for considering to adopt a husky in need.

God bless!

PawesomeBaby's Adoption Policy
1. Basic Questions on family/lifestyle/experience with dogs. For the huskies, we do look for a home that can understand and work with their unique personality (desire to wander, urge to pull and run, easily bored, have their own mind, stubborn - “what is in it for me” attitude, not very patient with children, to name a few). 2. Meet and Greet with adopter and adopter's pets. There may be additional video calls. 3. Adoption application completion. It will be emailed to you. 4. Reference Check calls (friends, veterinarian) 5. Multiple Meet and Greets if needed. 6. If we decide it’s a good match, then the next step is to sign the Adoption contract. With a 3 week trial period to ensure it’s the right home. Please note, we accept multiple applications for a dog, and try to select the best match. We do not rush adoptions.
