Freddie's Story

Meet Freddie!

Do you love a cattle dog but dont have a farm of cattle or the urge to run and play all day? Do you like a few brisk walks and then some time on the porch? Are you mostly a homebody past days of wild parties? Kids out of the house and in a quiet neighborhood? Freddie could be the heeler for you!

Freddie is a pretty chill guy that likes to hang with his person. He's not big on strangers or loud, fast moving things. He has no desire to join crowds, run with bicycles or visit playgrounds. He'd appreciate a quiet yard with a dirt spot to dig himself a little spot to relax in.

He is house trained and nice on leash. He is current on vetting, including blood work and had a dental 10/2025.
Freddie has some anxiety and allergies and is on daily meds. While he can be left alone once comfortable, he prefers not to be. He has not been destructive here but will bark if upset.

Freddie is a very nice, polite guy. He does have some behaviors that were likely exacerbated by situations he was placed in, as well as age related pain concerns. We believe Freddie can be set up to succeed and will offer continued assistance with our trainer to assure that he is.

Freddie seems more comfortable with women. He was more attached to his male guardian but when it comes to new people, he is more nervous with males.

Please feel free to message us if you have any questions or would like more info on him.

If you believe Freddie may be a good fit for you, please complete an application here:

Adoption app https://form.jotform.com/241304416564047

Freddie is located in Oakville, WA. Misspits Rescue's Adoption Policy
Misspits Rescue takes in dogs from various sources including local shelters and owner surrenders. All dogs are current on shots, spayed/neutered, microchipped and treated for parasites prior to adoption. Dogs live in a foster home first so we are able to provide some insight into their behavior, training, likes and dislikes etc so that we can try to make the best match. Our mission is to place them in a forever home so there is a thorough adoption process including a home visit. We are a non-profit rescue and all adoption fees go back to supporting and helping more dogs. Please contact us if you are interested in one of our dogs. Thank you for considering a rescue!
