Fred's Story

Fred is a 1-year-old sweetheart with a gentle, mellow personality. He's a little shy right now, which is completely understandable since he recently made the big move from his longtime foster home in New Mexico to a foster home here in the Puget Sound area. He had been with his NM foster since he was just 8 weeks old, so this is a big change for him. Even while adjusting, Fred is incredibly submissive and loving — there isn't a mean bone in his body. He even let me carry him into the house when he first arrived.

Once he settled in, Fred was excited to hop up on my sister's bed to sleep (the twin bed got a little cramped with the other pups!). He enjoys following the other dogs around and will happily give them little face licks.

Fred takes high-value treats very gently and seems to understand sitting for treats. He is potty trained and does great as long as he isn't left in the kennel too long. He loves being outside and is a very calm dog overall. The dogs typically come inside around 7pm and go out again around 6am.

Fred lives with and interacts well with many other dogs, including small dogs. He has also spent time with school-age children and has done well with them.

Despite being young, Fred is an easygoing boy who would be perfectly happy lounging on the couch and spending time with his people. He is fully vetted and neutered and is currently waiting in his Puget Sound foster home for his forever family.

Adoption fee $500

Fred will get to have a 10-day trial with his potential adopters

www.northwestwagrescue.org
