Fred Terrier & Whippet Mix Tuscaloosa, AL

Look at that FACE! This cool dog is Fred, an 18 - 20 -month-old terrier/Labrador mix. Fred has a smooth white coat with reddish/brown markings. He weighs 35 pounds and this is full grown. Fred was pulled from our local animal shelter where he had been picked up as a stray by Animal Control. He was down there for a couple of weeks and no one came to claim him.

Then Fred was adopted out but was tearfully returned by his owner when severe financial issues hit and they just felt their situation was not the best for him.

Fred is just a fun, friendly frisky dog! He is very social and playful. He will still need some training since he is very puppy like
but he is smart and wants to please. Fred can be jumpy when excited like when first meeting you. He is still chewy if he doesn't have a chew toy to keep him occupied. Fred may do ok in an apartment but he will need plenty of exercise. Fred will require a fenced in yard if left outside any unattended. He seems to play well with other dogs but plays a bit rough so would be better if with dogs his size. And he should be fine with children 7 or older. Fred was house trained and did well in his crate. He will let you know when he needs to go out if you learn his signals.

Fred is up to date on his vet care, neutered, heartworm negative and is microchipped. He is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. How could you not want to own one of the coolest looking dogs around - that is also super sweet!
