Frannie's Story

Frannie is a Poodle/Maltese/Schnauzer mix who is approximately 4 or 5 years old.
She weighs about 12 lbs and has a very sweet personality. She is fostered with other dogs and has many doggy friends. Although Frannie is quite relaxed and stress free in her foster home, she has displayed some anxiety when taken out of that environment. Because of this we think she would do best in a home with another calm adult dog preferably a male (but not mandatory, she is OK with females once she gets to know them). A calm quiet home with an owner experienced with rescue dogs would be strongly preferred. Frannie needs to be given the space and time to relax on her own terms. Once she does, she is sweet, funny, and has personality plus! Once she feels safe, she enjoys her neighborhood walks, lounging in the sun and following her person around. She's a great little gal that deserves someone who has the patience to let her settle in on her own time.

Frannie was pulled from a shelter in Modesto by the good folks at Hair of the Dog Rescue. She was found by animal control dumped in an orchard with a few other dogs.

It was discovered by the rescue that she has a heart murmur which requires her to be on medication. This has not impacted her quality of life at all however she will need to stay on the meds for life to keep her heart strong.

If you are interested in meeting this sweetheart, please fill out the application on the link below and a volunteer will get in touch with you shortly.
