Frannie's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

All dogs on our website ARE available and require an approved Best Friend Pet Adoption application before you can be considered or meet any of our dogs. Please consider this sweet girl today! Here is our application:

https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC

Frannie is a sweet and beautiful, Blue Brindle Pittie. She's about 2 years old and weighs around 45-50lbs. She is gentle natured with lots of personality. She's super cute and will give you a silly, full body "giggle" wag! She loves being with her people and is a wonderful companion.

Frannie has done well with her crate training and house breaking. She needs to be crated when left home alone (6-7 hours), and as of now she is crated overnight. She's food & toy motivated, eager to please and is learning basic manners. She is gentle with food and waits patiently for her meals. At times, she still acts like a puppy but also likes to chill on a dog bed and entertain herself with a bone or toy.

Frannie overall has great leash manners. She can be an alert barker and would do best in a home not an apartment. Although, she goes potty well on leash, she would really enjoy a fenced yard to get her "zoomies" out. She has a moderate energy level and after playtime with her foster siblings, she enjoys exploring the yard and sunbathing on porch or lounging on couch/bed. She also likes to play fetch and is learning to bring back.

Frannie would do best with good natured, neutered male dog that could help guide her when she's unsure. She would do OK as a solo dog also as she loves
getting attention from her humans. She would do best with older kids (8+).

She's good with "dog savvy" cats, but if kitty is shy and runs, the chase may be
fun. Slow and appropriate intros are always recommended with kitties.

Frannie had an unstable start to life and has some insecurities, but she will open up
quickly with treats and sweet talk. She would succeed greatly with an experienced
owner that can continue to build her confidence.

Please consider adopting (or fostering) this sweet little lady!

Check out Frannie's videos below!

(Copy & Paste each link to web browser)

https://youtu.be/nD2ipCIBz1g?si=nrkrkC8RWxq0iZfm

https://youtu.be/sGhTkC4Gx1g?si=UUiDTKYbBfhklq53

https://youtu.be/zZMeu_cesU4?si=rdpdRvZDg6BP8DBk

https://youtu.be/crWzmi_xybk?si=6JYngRo6QXSbxgjO

https://youtu.be/TGFYhPhS6d8?si=VVmubrdhdWrLmC3w

https://youtu.be/Oozl3OITecY?si=WPyE_8UwIc0Ej2Ma

https://youtu.be/7W2ZLf_dRfE?si=m9mP9qV0XS8ULvMf

https://youtu.be/IYSYO3Y_NS0?si=AJKGJ3zOA4LX6Nqp

https://youtu.be/uvCaU0kEBiI?si=xGxp4SZwdsTVRmng

https://youtu.be/opxIXa4Wkw0?si=0Q6kOcgjzn3zDadh

https://youtu.be/yDBMs4oWbd0?si=fv_8knL4U48ZFmjWmjW

Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.

We prefer applicants that live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized. We will consider applicants that live a bit further if they are a perfect fit for Frannie. Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions. We therefore prefer applicants to live a reasonable drive of Cary NC.

INTERESTED IN ADOPTING FRANNIE?
