If you’ve ever wanted a dachshund but in a bigger size look no further than Frankie. He is all the fun of a dachshund, but family sized! He will be timid at first but once he knows he is loved, he will be quick to steal your lap. He is good with other dogs but doesn’t like to share affection and needs another dog that’s ok with that. He chases cats but just wants to play with them. He has not been kid tested. He absolutely loves snuggles! He loves touching and being as close to you as possible at all times. If you forget that he is nearby, he will remind you with a head nudge or kind paw. He loves food! Probably due to his previous life situation. Takes pills easily with cheese. He loves going outdoors. Very gentlemanly in the car. Potty training is still a work in progress. Though he is eager to please, and food motivated, it shouldn’t take him long to learn. He roams the house during the day. He is not destructive or a chewer. He enjoys looking out the window, waiting to greet you when you return. If you have space in your bed and in your heart for a larger than average dachshund, Frankie is the dog for you. This information will be verified by your vet. If your pet(s) are not up to date on their annual shots, please make an appointment with your vet and take care of this prior to submitting an application. We will not approve any application until all vetting on current pets within the home is completed. After a vet check has been approved, a home visit will be scheduled with the pup(s) so that the new pup(s) can be introduced to the new family and environment.
