Frankie's Story

Frankie is a one-year-old pittie with a big smile and an even bigger heart. At 65 pounds of pure love, he may be too large for a lapbut dont tell him that. He leans all the way in for pets like its his full-time job, and if youre handing out pup cups, hell happily show off his power devourer skills.

Frankie gets along wonderfully with people of all ages and dogs of all sizes. Hes friendly, affectionate, and has that special goofy charm that makes him a staff favorite wherever he goes. Hes neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to bring joy to a forever home.

This camera-shy cutie loves dressing up, gives big-time cuddles, and melts hearts with his gentle, treat-motivated nature. While hes still brushing up on his leash manners and has a curious interest in birds and bunnies, he improves every timeespecially when someone he trusts is guiding him. Hes also crate-trained, enjoys long walks, and has snuggly, cuddly vibes.

Frankie is currently boarding in Colorado, and were hoping to get him back into the home environment with a foster or adopters where he can thrive. Were looking for someone in the Boulder area or Southern California whos ready to make Frankie's dream of a family come true.

Follow him on @k9kismet: #K9KismetFrankie

K9 Kismet Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy
Looking to add a new member to your family and think one of our dogs might be a good fit? Here’s the K9 Kismet’s adoption process: 1. Submit Application: There are no trick questions, so please be open and honest in your responses. 2. Phone Interview: Someone from our team will reach out via email or phone to schedule a call. 3. Meet-and-Greet: We keep our numbers low with the intent of knowing all our dogs well. If the dog you’re interested in will likely be a good fit for you and your household, we’ll reach out to the foster to schedule a time to meet. If not, we may have suggestions for other dogs in the rescue. Consider us matchmakers in this process. Feel free to request multiple meet-and-greets; depending on the situation, it may even be encouraged. This is a lifelong commitment and our ultimate goal is to make matches that are ideal for both the dog and their new family. 4. Home Check: Please be prepared to open your home to a representative from our rescue. A home visit allows us the opportunity to ensure the dog will be safe and secure. It’s also a great time for adopters to ask additional questions before finalizing an adoption. We’ll schedule a date and time that is convenient for you. 5. Sign Adoption Contract: This document will be shared in advance and is a necessary piece in the transfer of ownership. 6. Pay the Adoption Fee: We are a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit organization, so the donation you make is tax deductible. All of the dogs in our care receive regular wellness exams, preventative treatment, and specialty care as needed. All are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered (unless medically waived), and microchipped. For the vast majority of the dogs we pull into rescue, the adoption fee covers a fraction of the cost that went into rehabilitating the dog. Your tax-deductible adoption fee will help replenish funds needed to help another dog in need of rescue.
