Frankie came to HAP all the way from San Antonio, Texas, after the devastating floods. While her past is a mystery, what we do know is that she's incredibly resilient and deserving of a second chance! Life in the shelter can be overwhelming for her, and she tends to be nervous around new people but with a soft voice, a kind heart, and maybe a few tasty treats, Frankie begins to show her true colors. Once she feels safe, Frankie transforms into a silly, playful pup who just wants to be loved. She enjoys chasing after toys, climbing in your lap, and showing off her many tricks! Since arriving to HAP, Frankie has mastered 'sit', 'paw', 'down', 'rollover', 'place', and even walks well on a leash now! Did we mention she's also super social with other dogs? Frankie have been thriving in playgroups, where she can zoom around and let her bouncy, goofy personality thrive! She has truly come a long way since her arrival, and we know she will make one loving, entertaining companion! Could you be the one to help Frankie find her forever home? Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
