Frankie's Story

Frankie was abandoned at a veterinary clinic, where he was heartbreakingly left in an exam room without an explanation by his previous family after being brought in with a fractured pelvis. Frankie required multiple surgeries and lots of time healing in order to get to where he is today. He missed out on some key socialization and learning during this period. Because of this, Frankie needed extra guidance, patience, and thoughtful exposure to the world to help him grow into the confident dog he was always meant to be.

Frankie was initally adopted after his first two surgeries, and spent time living in the city. It became clear that this environment simply wasn’t right for him. The constant noise, crowds, and stimulation left him overwhelmed, and his stress showed through leash reactivity in that setting. Once he moved out of the city, everything changed. In a calmer environment with more space, and with work with one of our trainers, Frankie truly blossomed and revealed his wonderful personality.

Today, Frankie is a new dog and is ready to find his perfect home. He does great with other dogs and socializes well, while still maintaining healthy boundaries—he won’t let himself be bullied or bossed around. He absolutely loves being outdoors, running around, exploring, and enjoying fresh air. Activity and adventure bring out the best in him.

Frankie is looking for a home where his people are around often and where he can be an active part of their lives. He would thrive with an active family who enjoys spending time outside and including their dog in adventures. With the right environment and companionship, Frankie is a loyal, resilient, and loving dog who is more than ready for his forever home.
