Frankie #16's Story
Frankie #16 is a one-year-old black lab mix weighing 60 lbs. and is all charm and enthusiasm.

Frankie’s life philosophy is simple: love everyone, earn treats, and cuddle often. He’s a quick learner too — he’s been a perfect gentleman in the house with zero accidents since arriving in foster care. He’ll even politely tell you when it’s time for a potty break with a little whine.

His feline foster siblings have fully approved of him — Frankie waits patiently as they eat and only swoops in after for the tiniest of crumbs. He’s learning that playing chase isn’t always the best idea, and every day he gets better at remembering that cats appreciate a calm admirer.

Frankie’s got a growing list of accomplishments:
- Expert cuddler (10/10, would snuggle again)
- Treat connoisseur who takes snacks ever so gently
- Stellar car companion who rides like a pro
- Fearless against the mighty vacuum monster
- Master of “sit” and quickly learning recall like a champ

Of course, like all young pups, Frankie is still perfecting a few life skills. He’s working on walking more politely on leash (there’s just so much to sniff out there!), tackling stairs with confidence, and containing his overabundant joy so he doesn’t bounce up when saying hello. Counter surfing is slowly becoming a thing of the past, thanks to his eagerness to please and his love of praise.

Frankie also gets along with dogs of all sizes and loves to play with them. He is an energetic boy who will benefit from an active family. Also, having a fenced in yard will give him opportunities to romp, explore and play!
