Frankie #16's Story

Frankie #16 is a 1-year-old, 60-lb black Lab mix who is equal parts sweetness and silliness. This young guy has that classic Lab spirit—playful, friendly, and always ready for the next adventure. He gets along wonderfully with both big and small dogs in his foster home, and his tiny Chihuahua foster sister may or may not have a full-blown crush on him. (He’s flattered.)

Like most young Labs, Frankie has plenty of energy and would thrive with an active family and a fenced-in yard where he can run, romp, and play to his heart’s content. If his future family has children, older kids would be the best match—Frankie’s enthusiasm is adorable, but his happy bounces could accidentally topple the littlest humans.

He’s still working on manners and basic obedience, but he’s a smart boy who wants to please. At home, he’s a dream: house-trained, non-destructive when left alone, and a cuddler who loves sleeping in bed with his foster parents.

Bonus fun fact: Frankie is the brother of Bob #8! They aren’t currently fostered together, but if you’ve been thinking about adopting a bonded pair (or you just really love family reunions), Frankie and Bob would make an amazing duo.

If you’re looking for a loving, goofy, adventure-ready companion—and maybe even a matched set—Frankie just might be your guy!

For additional information about Frankie #16 please email Jennifer Vargas: jennifer.vargas@labs4rescue.org

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: We receive many questions about our adoption process from potential adopters, most of which can be answered by viewing our "Adopt a Lab" page on our full service website, (https://labs4rescue.com/adopt).
